Parents and Friends Association

At St. Mary’s we are blessed to have a wonderful, proactive and dedicated Parents and Friends association.

The primary function of the Parents and Friends association is to help build community and relationships within our school. We do this through organising various different events throughout the year as well as assisting the school with many different projects. Some of the events we organise include a welcome night at the start of the year, a school disco, a welcome morning tea for new parents at the start of the year, a movie night and many, many more. The projects we assist the school with are many, almost too much to list. We run the canteen for school lunches one day a week throughout the year, we assist the school with various different fundraising events, we subsidise the cost of Year 6 camp, we help provide resources for the school and we meet on a monthly basis to plan and organise everything we do.

Our P&F is run on a voluntary basis and we thank everyone that gives up their time to help out in any way. We are always very receptive of new members so please keep an eye on the Term Calendar and on the Newsletters so you can see when the next meeting takes place. They are usually on a Monday after school and a staff member always looks after the children while the meeting takes place. Our Parents and Friends association is affiliated with the Catholic School Parents Association of WA  (formerly Parents and Friends association of WA) and we strive to operate in line with their vision and mission.
